"Bold Soul Sisters: Forgotten Black Female Activists of the 19th & 20th Centuries"
is a revealing and inspiring look at black women who sacrificed and served in silence while impacting major issues in American history.
Unremembered by historians, their achievements live on today in host of laws, programs, and events for which they fought not only for
themselves, but for those who came after them. This event is Co-hosted by Hip Hop Education, Young Women of Distinction and Suitland

Great Jeans Giveaway- In Honor of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week.
NEDAW highlights the fact that body size and shape are strongly influenced by biological factors - such as genetics, while also calling
attention to some of the new discoveries surrounding the role of genetics in the development of eating disorders. Please join us for the
Great Jeans Giveaway and spread these messages about the powerful influence of genetics on both our physical and mental shape.
Bring in your old or new jeans that don't comfortably fit and decorate them with positive messages. Jeans will be donated to a local
charity. This event is Co-hosted by Hip Hop Education, Sistas United and Suitland CDC
