How Hip Hop Education Was Started

In 2004 President/Co-Founder Ben Wiggins heard a little boy about 11 years old
say to a little girl about 9 years "B.... get on my bike"...............well these are words
from a rap song that says "B... get in my car". Ben was so shocked by what the little
boy had said that he wanted to make a difference in the music our youth were
listening to.  With this weighing heavy on his mind he called upon his sister
CEO/Co-Founder Sabrina Wiggins to tell her about what the little boy had said and
how he wanted to make a difference and Sabrina said she would support him 100
percent. He came up with the name Hip Hop Education and from that point on it
was a partnership between a brother and sister to not only make a difference in the
music but in the lives of our youth.

“The CD was good and that when I heard it wit was
toalking about Obama and talking about God and the
song inspired to sing to it. When I went online to www.
hiphopeducationus, I was so great that I put my name
on the blog and I was happy that I was helping you
guys.”  ---------- Sincerely, Javon Smith

“I absolutely love the cds I bought from the young man.
He even gave me a sample of what he could do prior to
my buying when I saw and heard that, I was sold. Great
job!! I look forward to receiving more cds in the future.
Love it, Love it!!”!  --------Cheryl Hayes

I just listen to all the songs on the website and I was
amazed by the talent in these kids. I glad that they didn't
over them there age group by made the point and made
it clear. Keep up the GREAT work I'm glad to see kids
doing something positive. -----  Malei

I love the raps that your children are sharing, not to
mention the photos, this truly does restore hope in our
future. Thanks for all the positive things you are pouring
into their lives.  ------Linda Mose Meadows

My hat goes off to you for continuing the education of Hip
Hop. People must understand our history, our
foundation, our struggle, & the business. Too many
people get caught up in the imagery of what we see on
TV today instead of using Hip Hop as a form of
expression for their own life. And you are starting with
our future... the kids. What better place to start than to
put it in the minds of the young. So much respect to you
for making & keeping us all aware! ;-)   -----Lovable_gal
